Data sets from the Transcribathon “Faithful Transcriptions”
From May to July 2021, the Berlin State Library and the Leipzig University Library jointly organized the Transcribathon “Faithful Transcriptions”, a digital crowd souring project on medieval theological manuscripts. During the project, over 100 participants transcribed 181 manuscript pages and encoded the transcriptions in the markup language xml according to a TEI schema. The transcriptions were generated in the IIIF workspace of the Handschriftenportal, which is currently being developed. After passing the quality control, the data sets are made available on Zenodo and in the SBB-Lab.
